Family Focused Childbirth Tour

Tours of the Family Focused Childbirth Unit are offered each month beginning at 2:00pm.

Your BIRTHday Party

Your BIRTHday Party's are offered monthly.  Join us for lunch, and a short information session introducing our Tiny Toes Tip Top OB Program.  Meet our skilled and experienced staff and learn about our various educational class offerings.  Door prizes and a Tour of the OB Unit are included. Weekdays from 12:00pm - 1:30pm.

Lamaze Childbirth Education

This one day class will help you and your support person understand the final stages of pregnancy as well as labor and the birth of your baby. This class will discuss both natural and medicated (epidural) deliveries. You will learn Lamaze coping techniques such as message, relaxation, and patterned breathing. Information will be provided on the immediate bonding period with your newborn as well as postpartum adjustment. A tour of our Family-Focused Childbirth unit is also included in the class. Please make sure to wear comfortable clothes and bring two pillows when attending this class.

Baby Care Basics & Breastfeeding

This class provides information on two popular infant care topics in a morning format. The Baby Care Basics presentation offers parents an opportunity to obtain knowledge and gain confidence in the care of newborns. Parents will learn about diapering, bathing, feeding, and cord care. The Breastfeeding presentation features information about the physiology of milk production, nutritional needs of mother and baby, nipple care and milk storage. We’ll also discuss the eating habits of babies, weaning, and much more!

“HUG” Your Baby

This class provides Help, Understanding, and Guidance for young families as they prepare for the birth of their infant. You will begin to understand how your infant communicates with you, and learn strategies to help calm your baby when she shows signs of over stimulation. The “HUG” introduces a dynamic, fun, and effective way to connect with your newborn.

Infant CPR

Our Infant CPR class is designed to teach you how to respond in an emergency situation. Using infant mannequins and a simple step-by-step method, you’ll learn how to perform infant CPR. *Please note, this class does not provide certification.

Our New Baby Sibling Class

A new baby is a major event for all family members, no matter how old they are. This class will prepare big brothers and sisters for the new arrival and teach them how to participate in the care of the baby. A visit to the nursery is also included.

Childbirth Education 101

This evening class will provide a basic overview of the signs and symptoms of labor as well as the stages of labor and delivery. Information will be provided on pain relief options for labor such as epidural anesthesia and narcotic analgesics. You will learn about the immediate bonding period with your newborn as well as postpartum adjustment. A tour of our Family-Focused Childbirth unit is included in the class.
