Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Should one of our newest patients require special care, we have a fully-equipped Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We're committed to giving newborns – even the tiniest ones – the tender loving care for which Trinity Hospital of Augusta is well-known.
· Your baby will be cared for by our highly trained nurses and Neonatologists working with the latest neonatal technology.
· Our neonatologists are board-certified in both Pediatrics and Neonatology (a specialty that focuses on the care of high risk newborns), and are available 24 hours a day.
Special Accommodations
Trinity Hospital of Augusta's Family Focused Childbirth Unit strives to promote family involvement to its fullest. If babies must remain in our care, we want to be sensitive to our mothers’ needs and make the transition as easy as possible for them. Understanding a mother’s need to be close to her baby, we will accommodate such a mother to the best of our ability. We will seek to allow her to stay on the Mother-Baby Suite, based upon bed availability, at no charge, until her baby can go home. This arrangement is just another way we're fulfilling our mission – to extend the work of Christ through healthcare services – for each of our families.
